Plus add to it that there is not a damned thing Chief's armor is gonna do against the F.I.S.T.O. Seriously, the badass armor used by BoS soldiers for the last 150 years of Fallout history could all have been in "Power Save" mode and we would never have known.
We see the hints of that in the new Player Character using rocket jets on the back of the armor without having added anything new to the armor itself, when did it get those?! Maybe they were always there but the armors the BoS have been using have been in a semi powered, or a powered down state. We have never seen the full extent that the Power Armor Mk I even can do when used by a trained user in the "good ol days" even the Brothers Of Steel when pressed admit they don't know the full extent of the armors function. Oddly, I would have to argue against the Sub on this one.
